Dorabelle Fortune-McGowan was the fourth of seven children born to the late Milton Cullum and Dora Brayboy Cullum on September 4, 1936 in Aiken, South Carolina. She departed this life on November 12, 2022 at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 18th at Emanuel Baptist Church, Elmont, NY. Interment will follow in Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale, NY.

Dorabelle leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted son, Milton Cullum of Uniondale, NY; two brothers, Jessie Cullum of Bishopville, SC and Eugene (Mary) Cullum of Aiken, SC; one sister, Ann Cullum of Hempstead, NY, and a special niece, Gwendolyn Creech of Memphis, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, nine stepchildren, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
