Age 44, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 14, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19th at Bethel P.H. Church, 3041 Salley Road, Salley, SC with Pastor Thomas Stone officiating.

Jason Anthony Rushton, affectionately known by family and friends as "Bubba," was born on January 18, 1982, in Aiken, South Carolina, to Ruthie Renee Hill Rushton and the late Donald James Rushton.

Jason attended school in the Aiken County School District. He was known for his easygoing spirit and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed playing music, dancing, hunting, and relaxing while watching some of his favorite television shows, including Chicago Fire, Blue Bloods, and Sanford & Son. His laughter, warm personality, and love for spending time with those he cherished will forever be remembered.

Jason was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Winter Michelle Franks Rushton, in 2016, and his father, Donald James Rushton, and grandfather, James Rushton.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving son, Jason Donald Rushton; his beloved daughter, Allison Ruthie Rushton; his devoted mother, Ruthie Renee Hill Rushton; one brother, Joshua Clifton Rushton (Heather Lynn); his beloved grandmother, Earlene Rushton; his fiancée, Kathy Taylor; two aunts, Janice Kay Rushton Beckner and Sonya Taylor; two uncles, Jimmy Rushton (Josie) and Michael Rushton (Carolyn); along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.

Though Jason's earthly journey has ended, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and family will continue to inspire all who were blessed to call him family or friend.
